Those lucky enough to share their life with both a cat and a dog, will know they can be friends. And that despite the size difference, it's often the cats of the family who call the shots.
Much like in the case of this tiny ginger kitten, who seemed to find her big brother's size insignificant when it came to claiming her spot on his favourite bed.
Small but mighty
"When you want your bed back but the new kitten we found has taken over", reads the caption to the video first shared by Reddit user ParticularThen7354 and later subreddit r/babyanimals.
The clip shows the little kitten sitting right in the centre of the cushion. Her canine brother may be much bigger than her, but he couldn't be more gentle, stepping back every time she swats him away.
"I like how the kitten takes exactly the middle so there isn't enough room to share", writes an amused viewer.
And sure enough, she holds her ground throughout the entire video, which takes the dog completely by surprise.
Best friends in the making?
While the video may have caught this sweet pair in a bit of a stand-off, viewers speculate that they'll be best friends in no time!
"In 24 hours the little one will be riding on his back and napping on him", joked a viewer.
