A kitten's switch from aggressive to affectionate has captured the hearts of online viewers and it's all thanks to the support of her new feline sibling.

The black and white kitten, named Oreo, initially struggled to adapt to her new home and would frequently hiss or hide.

When Oreo met Newt

Her owner would have to wrap her in a towel if she wanted to touch or move her. However, everyone was determined to win Oreo over, especially the family's resident ginger cat, Newt.

Over time, Newt's calm and friendly demeanour helped Oreo adjust.

A recent Instagram post detailing Oreo's transformation has gained significant attention, amassing over 1.7 million views.

The post shows Oreo, once timid and wary, now comfortably nestled next to Newt and engaging warmly with her new human family.

Transformation

While Oreo initially avoided contact, she now happily comes to her owners for strokes of her own accord. What a transformation!

The owner's caption reflects their joy and appreciation: "Omg! This was such an awesome moment! We knew she could do it! All the patience, hope, and love we gave her was worth it! Thanks to Newt for helping her feel safe around her new human family."

The video has attracted over 171,000 likes, with viewers praising Oreo's progress. One user remarked, "She wasn't aggressive, she was frightened," while another shared their excitement, "You did it! The gasp I let out when she came over for pets."

Well done, everyone (especially Newt!).
