When they spotted Coco's advert online, it was love at first sight.
The 3-year-old Poodle was being re-homed due to her owner's health - or so her new family was told.
Signs of abuse
Heartbreakingly, shortly after Coco arrived home, her family realised that things weren't quite right.
The poor pup was so terrified she wouldn't even walk on grass, and a vet visit revealed she was actually pregnant.
She also suffered breathing problems, all signs that pointed to life in a puppy mill.
Thankfully, she couldn't have fallen into better hands. Her new owners were committed to healing both her body and her mind, and today Coco is unrecognisable from the traumatised girl they first met.
Coco's happy ending
"We have showered her with all the love and comfort she could get to make sure she has the life she deserves", shared Coco's family on TikTok. "She is so happy and full of love".
A testament to the power of affection and trust, Coco's story touched the hearts of dog lovers around the world. Her incredible story has been liked over 60,000 times.
