When Patch was brought into the RSPCA in West Yorkshire, the team knew he would need to find a home as special as he is. Months later, he's still waiting.

Four-year-old Bulldog Patch was brought into the RSPCA by his owners.

They had noticed he seemed to be losing his fur, but they weren't in a position to afford his treatment.

A very special boy

Tests revealed that Patch was suffering from severe allergies, to both pollen and dust mites. This meant the poor pup was very itchy and uncomfortable.

The veterinary team immediately put him on medication to sooth his skin, and staff even found him adorable jumpers to wear on rainy days.

But sadly Patch's allergies and resulting baldness mean that six months later, he's still waiting for his forever home.

Hopeful for a happy ending

He may need a family that understands the costs and commitment of his ongoing care, but the good news is, that Patch's condition is treatable. His fur is even starting to grow back, albeit very slowly!

With centre staff, Patch has proved to be the most loving dog. Affectionate and friendly, he loves nothing more than spending time with his favourite people.

The team are desperately hoping a happy ending is right around the corner for this loveable boy, who just can't understand why nobody wants him.
