Shocking discovery
Inside the bag lay a frightened tabby cat, huddled at the bottom, seemingly abandoned by its previous owner. The cat, now named Câlinou by shelter staff, showed signs of trauma but quickly began to adapt to its new surroundings.
Despite their relief at finding the cat alive, the shelter employees couldn't help but wonder if it had been alone in the bag or if others had suffered a similar fate.
The staff were understandably upset by the discovery, especially since owners looking to surrender unwanted pets have options. They took to Facebook to share their frustration and despair at the all-too-familiar situation.
Search for a forever home
Nevertheless, the shelter remains committed to Câlinou's well-being and is determined to find him a loving forever home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves.
While they work towards this goal, they urge pet owners to surrender their animals responsibly rather than resort to such drastic measures.
