In India, Senthil Nathan found himself troubled by an unusual problem.
Every night, without fail, his doormat would be stolen. Confused and frustrated, he decided to install cameras that would help him catch the thief.
A master thief
Senthil just couldn't work out why anyone would want to steal a doormat.
So when he sat down with his wife to finally watch the footage, he couldn't have been more excited to get to the bottom of the mystery.
A famous culprit
The thief, it turned out, was very well-known in the area, regularly finding doormats and taking them away with him.
Senthil couldn't help but laugh as the footage played, capturing a little brown dog who lived in neighbourhood.
The clever canine had come up with this trick to find himself a bit of comfort, dragging the mat outside the gate and making himself a cosy bed.
Now, knowing the doormat thief is a dog in need, Senthil always takes care to place the mat on the right side of the gate, leaving it there for him whenever he needs it!
