An organisation that works to help cats in need was left in disbelief, after they received a surprising response to their listing on Vinted...

Managing an animal rescue is not for the faint of heart, as one French rescue's story goes to show.

Nos chats sans toit, which translates to cats without a roof, works tirelessly to help stray and abandoned cats in need. This clearly meant nothing to a disgruntled buyer, who left a very hurtful comment on selling platform Vinted

Desperate for a discount

The organisation often uses Vinted, to sell items that have been donated to help raise vital funds.

"With the help of generous donors, our store now has lots of lovely items", wrote the team on their page, going on to explain that over 1,500 sales have played an essential part in paying for much needed veterinary treatment.

Supporting a rescue in need clearly wasn't enough for one visitor, who messaged Nos chats sans toit asking for a discount. The organisation kindly agreed to lower the price, but this wasn't enough to satisfy the person in question.

A shocking reaction

The organisation shared the Vinted user's response on their Facebook page, to show everyone the shocking response they received.

"You really must have a boring life to worry about stray cats. Sorry, I don't like cats", wrote the unhappy buyer.

The rescue team knew not to take the message to heart. Instead, they wanted to bring visibility to the unkind words they have to endure.

Thankfully, there are many more people out there who play a part in supporting cats each day, by donating, volunteering, or offering a loving home.
