When you’re next curled up on the sofa with your cat or dog, imagine cuddling up in front of the television with the world’s largest wolf.

That’s the everyday reality for Andrey Musienko, who shares his home with Akela, a Black Canadian Wolf. But rather than treat him like a potential predator, Andrey treats him like a regular beloved pet.

Gentle giant

While Black Canadian Wolves are known for their wild and dangerous nature, Andrey shows a softer side to these intriguing animals through captivating images shared on his YouTube and Instagram.

Once a tiny, sweet puppy, Akela has grown to the size of a pony under Andrey’s care, yet his behaviour remains remarkably gentle.

Although considered a dangerous predator in regions like Canada, Northern Europe, and Siberia, Akela transforms into a giant cuddly toy around his human friend. The wolf carefully approaches Andrey, playfully nibbling on him before lying down for a cosy cuddle.
