Having been left home alone by his owners, this dog had somehow managed to get himself in a very precarious position.
With half his body hanging over the balcony railing, it was clear to everyone below that this poor pup urgently needed help.
Scared and stuck
The unusual scene brought people to halt in Paris, as they stopped to observe the dog from below. Many quickly got to work, holding a piece of material out to catch the dog if he fell.
A brave member of the public decided he had to take a risk to rescue the desperate dog, climbing up a ladder to reach the balcony.
A tense rescue
Everyone watched with bated breath, as the man carefully stepped along the ledge to reach the dog. He obviously knew help had arrived, and he remained motionless as the man untangled him from the railings.
Hopping back inside as if nothing had happened, his rescuer was now the one that needed help!
Thankfully, the fire brigade were on their way, to lift the man to safety. His heroic act of kindness was met with a round of applause as he reached solid ground, leaving the lucky pup to rest and recover in the safety of his own home.
