Having parked his jeep on the side of the road, this dog owner appears relaxed and at ease.
For the first few seconds of the video, it seems he's taking his dog for a walk on a day like any other.
Caught in the act
His poor dog seems to feel the same way, happily jumping out of the car with a wagging tail, excited to be going for a walk.
But it quickly becomes clear the owner has more sinister intentions... he just hasn't realised a CCTV camera is recording his every move!
Hard evidence
Moving to the side of his car, the owner clearly knows he has to act quickly. Jumping into the driver seat, he closes the door as fast as possible, seemingly oblivious to his dog's panic.
It's a heartbreaking moment as the pup realises he has been left behind, running behind the car in a desperate attempt to catch up to his owner.
Thankfully, the footage, which has been published by CCTV IDIOTS was the hard evidence needed to arrest the heartless man. Justice prevailed on this occasion, meaning the owner could be tracked down and prosecuted for this act of cruelty to his loyal and loving canine companion.
