The day started out much like any other, for this Dallas resident, as he walked a well-known path near his home.
But things quickly took a turn, when he came across a dog. Muddy and cold, she had obviously been left by her owner.
Two tiny surprises
At first glance, it seemed the muddy white dog was all alone. Or was she?
On closer inspection, the caring samaritan spotted two tiny balls of fur. Huddling from the cold, the desperate mother had done all she could to protect her babies from the elements.
The rescue mission
Saving Hope Rescue Association stepped in to help the little family, naming the mother dog Evelyn.
Evelyn quickly adapted to life in her foster home, enjoying the warmth and comfort she so desperately needed. And two days later, their transformation was remarkable!
Once they were ready, Evelyn and her puppies were put up for adoption. Evelyn is now Kaia, and with her muddy days behind her, she's a much loved member of her new family!
