But Angela Lansbury wasn’t just an incredible actress. She was also a humanitarian, supporting various charities throughout her life, whether they be raising awareness for Aids or for animal welfare.
Animal lover through and through
She was indeed an animal lover, often proclaiming that humans could learn a lot from dogs, including unconditional love and loyalty.
She hadn’t owned dogs for a number of years, thinking it was unfair to them that she worked and travelled so much. "I can’t bear to leave them. I refuse to have a dog now unless I can stay in one place to nurture it."
She is survived by three children and her brother, producer Edgar Lansbury, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time!
