Jakob has been in the UK for 2 years now and is still waiting for his final, forever home. He arrived to the UK a very nervous dog, but has really overcome hurdles with the help of his fosterer.
Jakob enjoys his walks and walks well on a lead and wears harness, however he has been very reactive to dogs on walks in the past. His current foster has really helped him become less reactive by redirecting his attention on walks with treats and going on longer walks. His future owners will need to continue this training.
Jakob gets on great with the children in his current foster home, however we will only rehome Jakob in an adult only home or with older dog savvy children.
Jakob currently lives with other dogs and could do so in his future home, however there would have to be multiple meets as he does not initially like other dogs. Once he gets to know a dog he is fine, but he does need to be slowly and properly introduced.
Jakob cannot be rehomed with cats.
Jakob is toilet trained and sleeps well overnight. He is not been crate trained. He can be left at home for a few hours and is not destructive.
Jakob travels well in the car and his current foster is able to help with transport to his future home.
Jakob has no known health issues.
He loves his little bone and bear toy (check him out in the photos!).
Jakob is ready and waiting for he right home who can continue his training and help him live a happy, balanced life!
We always advise sensible and supervised introductions with children and other pets 🐈
