Oso was dumped at a shelter mainly because his owners didn't want to take care of his very manageable skin ailments, alopecia and pyoderma.
A fate difficult to accept
At 8 years old, Oso the Chow-Chow mix never thought his family would give up on him. When he was left at the shelter, he felt betrayed. Shelter staff even said that he looked ashamed of himself, as if he blamed himself for his abandonment.
He stayed in a corner of his kennel the whole time he was in the shelter, keeping his head down and never looking up. He had lost all of his confidence.
A new start
However, after a few days receiving some tender loving care from shelter staff, Oso's condition began to improve, and so did his mental health. He started coming out of his shell and underwent an incredible transformation!
From shy and lonely to happy and friendly, the adorable pup was soon ready for a deserving forever home.
