A couple of months ago, staff at Louisiana SPCA found a dog tied to a fence outside their shelter.

Homeless dog has unexpected past

When they first examined the dog, they realised he didn’t have a microchip, so he was soon put up for adoption.

But there was something about the dog that intrigued shelter staff. Something told them that he shouldn’t be matched with just any family. So, they started looking for clues as to where he may have come from. And sure enough, while looking online, they found some BIG news. The black and white Pittie actually already had family, and they were looking for him!

The sweetest reunion

Months prior, the dog, named Cow, had been stolen from his family. The SPCA quickly contacted them to let them know that their dog had been found.

And as Cow’s owner showed up in front of his kennel, it was clear to see that he was finally where he belonged.

This rescue pet’s luck has finally turned around. 🍀 We first found Cow tied to a fence outside our shelter. He didn’t have a microchip, so tracking down his owners was going to be a difficult task. After some time in our care, our staff discovered online that Cow had a family, and he had been stolen from them months ago. We were able to reunite them, and it became instantly clear where Cow truly belonged. Happy St. Pitties Day! 💚💚💚
