Shelter puts stop on finding Pitbull a home when they learn the truth about him

Shelter staff tried to match this dog with a new family for weeks, until they realised that wasn’t necessary…

A couple of months ago, staff at Louisiana SPCA found a dog tied to a fence outside their shelter.

Homeless dog has unexpected past

When they first examined the dog, they realised he didn’t have a microchip, so he was soon put up for adoption.

But there was something about the dog that intrigued shelter staff. Something told them that he shouldn’t be matched with just any family. So, they started looking for clues about where he may have come from. And sure enough, while looking online, they found some BIG news. The black and white Pittie actually already had family, and they were looking for him!

The sweetest reunion

Months prior, the dog, named Cow, had been stolen from his family. The SPCA quickly contacted them to let them know that their dog had been found.

And as Cow’s owner showed up in front of his kennel, it was clear to see that he was finally where he belonged. 

Cow is now microchipped and back with his beloved humans…forever!
