Abby is one of those wonderful humans who spends her time rescuing animals in need. One day, she got a text about two puppies who had been dumped on the side of the road.
Pups found in terrible condition
The situation was much more dire than expected when she arrived at the scene. The pups looked as though they hadn’t had anything to eat or drink for a few days already, and they both had a horrible skin infection. Abby couldn’t help but sob just looking at them.
Thankfully, the pups were friendly and approachable. They hopped into the car and fell asleep right away. Abby took them to the vet, who prescribed special shampoos to help their skin heal.
A happy ending
After lots of TLC, the poor little mites started to look like…puppies again! And it was time for them to find a forever home. Incredibly, a family around 2,000 miles away heard about the puppies’ story and offered to adopt them. They drove all the way to Abby’s home to pick them up.
The puppies went from being abandoned, sick, and scared, to living with a family, showered with love and many toys. That’s an incredible turnaround if you ask us!
