Last year, Vinicius Carleto talked his parents into rescuing a dog from the shelter.
While his mum was on board with the idea, his dad was harder to convince.

Yet, when Pitoco the dog arrived in his new forever home, he made quite an impression on the whole family…including Dad!
To Carleto’s surprise, his dad seemed to actually enjoy the dog’s company. It seemed as though he was less stressed. And one day, he even found the pair running and playing in the back garden!

But the pinnacle of their relationship was really when Carleto came home one day to find his dad and his dog wearing matching shirts. Not just any matching shirts though - his dad was wearing a shirt with Pitoco’s face on it and Pitoco was wearing a shirt with his dad’s face on it. Now if that’s not true love, we don’t know what is!
Carleto immediately took a picture - and now his dad will forever be known on social media as the stereotypical ‘parent who didn’t want a dog’. They always cave, don’t they?
