When two or more cats meet, it could go either way: really good or really bad! It’s true, cats get along in different ways. So imagine how we felt when we saw this video of a cat who met a Savannah cat?

The Serval cat is a wild cat from Africa. Owning a Serval is illegal in the UK, however, many breeders have crossed Serval cats with domestic cats (usually a Siamese breed) and therefore created the Savannah breed, which is legal. They are the largest cat breeds. So imagine how a domestic cat would feel if he met a Savannah cat?

Well, this is exactly what we will witness in this video.

An uncommon encounter

In the video, we see a domestic white cat that is at least half the size of the Savannah cat. He looks scared, as evidenced by his flat ears, and therefore becomes aggressive toward the other cat. Seconds later, the white cat starts hissing and punches the Savannah cat. Right now, we are hiding our eyes, because we are scared of the outcome...

But, surprisingly, the Savannah cat shows in a dignified and elegant manner that its aggressive behaviour is unfounded. Calmly, he puts his paw on the white cat’s chest, as if to say “Relax buddy! I’m cool”. And it worked! The domestic cat seems to have calmed down.

An encounter that hit the internet

Cat videos are one of the most popular videos on the Internet. We are personally huge fans. This video you’ve just watched broke all the records. In just a few days, the encounter between the Savannah cat and domestic white cat was viewed 3.3 million views and liked 60 thousand times. Internet users loved to see how calm and classy this large and extremely beautiful cat behaved.
