Andrea Diaz-Giovanni is trying to teach her baby how to say the word “Mama”. She repeats it over and over again, hoping her child will finally speak.

But despite her encouraging tone, her baby stays silent.

To motivate her child further, Andrea holds out a piece of tasty food at the end of her fork.

Seductive reward

The baby is definitely interested, staring at the food with loving eyes. But still, no words come out of his mouth.

There is another party involved, though. Patch the Australian Shepherd is looking at his mum’s treat just as intently. But unlike his human sibling, he seems to know what he needs to do to get it.

Determined to get the treat

He first starts warming up his voice with some whining and grumbling. But, after hearing the word “Mama” over and over, the dog amazes the entire family. He lets out a noise that sounds exactly like the word “Mama”!

Everyone in the family is in stitches, realising that their intelligent pooch had literally just spoken. Everyone’s having a blast – except for the baby, who looks at his doggy sibling as if to say, “Dude…you just made me look bad!”

We hope Patch was heavily rewarded for his amazing speech. He deserves it!
