Dogs have a love-hate relationship with rain. Some of them happily splash in puddles while others refuse to leave the house. This good boy enlisted some help...

The UK isn’t exactly known for its wonderful weather. Heavy downpours in late June are commonplace, especially in Scotland. It was one such downpour that led to this adorable scene.

A delightful photo of a security guard protecting a Golden Retriever from the rain has been doing the rounds on social media with the caption,

The perfect candid snap

The pic shows the dog sitting happily (and dryly) under a huge golf umbrella as the security guard braves the rain and gets soaked through.

A pay rise in order?

People have fallen in love with the pic with people calling for the security guard to get a pay rise.

We’ve since learnt that the dog is a gorgeous Golden named Freddie and the security guard, a thoroughly decent chap named Ethan Dearman.

Even better news, Freddie’s owner has shared a pic of him as a puppy and, as expected, he’s particularly cute.

The power of puppies

There are a lot of negative stories in the news these days so we’re delighted that this cute little scene made the national press.
