When 11-year-old Rocco Risso’s beloved dog Jack went missing, the young boy was devastated.
During the months that passed, Rocco searched for his best friend near his home in Argentina, never giving up hope that he’d find his canine pal.
Chance sighting at petrol station
No matter how strong he tried to be, though, the boy struggled without his four-legged friend.
But then everything changed when a friend spotted a stray dog near a petrol station and realised it was Jack! The friend called Rocco’s mum, who couldn’t wait to reunite her son with his dog.
She didn’t tell Rocco about the phone call. Instead, when she got back home with the dog, she called Rocco into the front garden, telling him she had a present for him.
Emotional reunion
When Rocco came into the front garden and saw his pup waiting for him, he shouted “Jack” and went straight over to his dog, who looked thrilled to see his owner too. The boy and dog share a big hug as the pair fall to the ground together, with the boy sobbing with joy.
While Jack makes sure he greets the rest of the family, his biggest tail wag was for his special friend Rocco.
