Walker finds four kittens trapped in a plastic bag, but the worst has already happened

By Ludivine Mazzotti•

On Sunday 11 October at around 10pm, a man walking his dog in Addlestone made a truly chilling discovery.

He discovered four kittens abandoned inside a plastic bag.

Tragically, two of them were already dead.

A race against time

The dog walker took the kittens straight to a vet to be examined. The little ones were around five weeks old. Rescuers from Byfleet Cat Rescue then stepped in to care for the two little survivors, who were named Peanut and Butter.

Thankfully, the two brothers are in good hands now. Butter was very shy at first, but the kittens gradually regained their energy. They are now playing and continuing their recovery with a foster family, where they can finally enjoy a safe environment.

Searching for a loving home

Rescuers were deeply shocked by this cruel abandonment. Trapped at the bottom of the plastic bag, the kittens stood no chance of survival without the walker's intervention.

The two kittens will stay in foster care until they are eight to ten weeks old. Rescuers will do everything they can to find them a safe, loving home where they can be properly cared for and forget the cruelty they suffered in their very first weeks of life.
