In Los Angeles, California, a passerby noticed something moving inside an abandoned supermarket trolley. When he went over to check, he discovered three young puppies left inside, completely on their own.
Following help from several animal charities, the organisation California Doodle Rescue took the three pups in. The first step was to take them to the vet for a thorough check-up before finding them a temporary foster home.
Three puppies named Wynken, Blynken and Nod
Settled in with their foster family, the three eight-week-old puppies were named Wynken, Blynken and Nod. While Blynken has a slight issue with one of his eyes, the team says that all three are generally in good health.
The rescue charity shared their story on Instagram, explaining that the puppies are adapting brilliantly to their new life. They love exploring, playing together and enjoying plenty of cuddles after their playtime.
Time for a fresh start
Thanks to the loving care from their foster family, the three rescued pups have grown up in a wonderful environment and are now officially ready for adoption.
The California Doodle Rescue charity says that potential owners must commit to continuing their training and socialisation, giving them all the time and patience they need to thrive.
