He was only supposed to rescue a stray, then he made a life-changing decision

Abandoned by the side of a busy road, a German Shepherd captured the heart of a traffic police officer in Kłodzko, Poland.

One of the officers from the Kłodzko district police station will never forget this particular mission. A unique bond was formed that day: the dog rescued during the operation instantly captured the officer's heart. He not only helped the animal during the call-out, but he also decided to give him a permanent home.

It all started when the police received a report about a German Shepherd wandering near a busy road. The animal appeared disoriented and lost. At the time, no one knew if he had escaped or had been cruelly abandoned.

Love at first sight by the roadside

Traffic police officers responded to the call and managed to get the dog to safety. The German Shepherd was initially taken to the “Pod Psią Gwiazdą” Foundation while the search for his owner got underway.

The story could have ended there, but one detail changed everything: one of the officers just couldn't get the poor dog out of his head. Moved by the animal's distress, he made a decision. If the former owner couldn't be found, or no longer wanted him, he would adopt the dog himself.

A new life for an inseparable pair

And that's exactly what happened! This new home has given the German Shepherd the chance of a happy new life. The rescued dog now joyfully gambols through fields, loves playing fetch, and is without a doubt the happiest dog in the entire region!
