He had spent most of his life on the streets.
Recently, a passer-by took him to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission in the US.
Rescued from the streets
This was the start of a new life for Ralphie. It was clear the poor cat needed urgent help. When rescuers from Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue heard his story, they immediately offered to take him into their care.
Ralphie was born with a congenital mouth defect, and years on the streets had led to severe inflammation of his lips. Despite his pain and everything he had endured, Ralphie remained the sweetest and most friendly cat the rescuers had ever met.
A loving foster home
Thanks to the support of the rescue's community, the cat was placed in a foster home just before Christmas. The treatment for Ralphie's inflammation began to work, and he even started to put on weight.
After years on the streets with no shelter or safety, Ralphie is now ready to start a new chapter: settling down for good in his forever home!
