Stray cats learn to trust again thanks to their unbreakable bond

By Elodie Carpentier

Two former stray cats are looking for a loving home where they can settle in at their own pace.

Finding safety together

When they were taken in by the Australian rescue charity Best Friends Felines, Jagger and Jewell were just two frightened little cats who had to fend for themselves, as reported by the website Love Meow.

It took months of patience in foster care for these two Tonkinese cats to reveal their true personalities.

Their secret to overcoming their trauma? An unbreakable bond. When separated, they remain fearful, but together, they make an unstoppable team.

Two complementary personalities

Over time, and thanks to the kindness of their foster carers, the duo made huge progress. Their carers got to know Jewell, the braver of the two, who happily welcomes humans and loves being pampered.

By contrast, Jagger is a more reserved cat who prefers to watch the world go by. Unlike his sister, he still finds humans quite daunting, although his confidence is growing day by day.

Now needing to move from their current foster home, Jagger and Jewell are searching for their forever home. The charity is looking for an adopter who understands that settling them in will take time, patience, and a gentle touch.
