His health was in a very worrying state. The poor cat was suffering from a deep wound to one of his ears.
The passer-by took a photo of the cat and sent it to the team at Miami Animal Rescue.
Intensive care
Rescuers immediately took Cashmere in and found him a suitable foster home. Cashmere underwent surgery to treat his ear. The sweet boy then needed intensive, round-the-clock care. Because his wound was so deep, the healing process was particularly long.
The poor lad had to wear a protective cone for nearly two months, including during his time in foster care. Despite the discomfort, Cashmere never stopped seeking out human company. Cuddles are clearly his favourite thing in the whole world. He even accepted treats while receiving his first treatments, showing nothing but gentleness and affection to those looking after him.
Making wonderful progress
Thankfully, as the weeks went by, his health steadily improved. Cashmere also got on famously with the other cats in his foster home. He is a wonderfully peaceful and sociable boy.
Today, Cashmere is finally fully recovered and no longer needs his cone! His ear has healed beautifully, and his painful past is now firmly behind him. He can finally enjoy a peaceful life and, most importantly, keep sharing the endless affection he has to give.
Cashmere is waiting for his forever home
