While out on her morning jog, Amy had an unexpected encounter.
She was running along a path when a white blur shot out of the bushes, heading straight for her at full speed.
A chance encounter
At first, Amy was a little scared, but she soon realised it was a white dog. The pup started to follow her, running by her side. The young woman asked him: "Are you a good dog or a bad dog?" to which the dog responded by being incredibly affectionate.
Amy eventually went home, but she couldn't stop thinking about the dog, all alone on the side of the road. He was on her mind all day. So, the next morning, she knew she had to go back and check on him. She got in her car and drove back to the spot.
A huge surprise
Amy was as surprised as she was relieved to find the dog still there, curled up asleep in the bushes. As she got closer, Amy discovered it was a female. She was so gentle that she let Amy approach her. Amy was able to get her into the car and drove home with the dog. Now, all that was left was to tell her husband...
When he saw the dog in the garden, he was in shock. Amy took the dog to the vet to check for a microchip, but she didn't have one. In tears, Amy turned to the camera and said: "My husband said we can adopt her!" The couple named her Mahina. We were so moved by this wonderful rescue, and we're sure Mahina will have a very happy life with her new family.
