The poor dog's fur was severely matted. Her coat was far too long and had clearly not been cared for, leaving her barely able to see.
Rescuers quickly began the long process of grooming her to remove all the knots.
A much-needed makeover
Once Lady was completely shaved, her transformation revealed a completely different dog. The rescuers could hardly recognise her! As the clippers did their work, Lady's face gradually emerged.
Beneath her thick, matted coat, the dog was hiding a beautiful secret: magnificent, long eyelashes. They give Lady a particularly expressive and elegant look.
A sweet personality shines through
Once she felt more comfortable, Lady revealed a wonderfully gentle personality. The rescuers placed her in a foster home so she could rest and thrive in a calm environment.
Thanks to the patience and affection of her foster parents, Lady began to open up and show her true character. She turned out to be extremely affectionate and very attached to the people she trusts.
Since her transformation, adoption enquiries have flooded in. The shelter staff are certain that Lady will soon find the loving family she deserves!
