Children have saved the life of an elderly woman.

In Cagnes-sur-Mer, France, two 10-year-old children saved the life of a woman in her nineties. As reported by the website Centre Presse, Joris and Charlotte were walking their dogs on 25th January 2026 when one of the dogs suddenly stopped in its tracks.

The children couldn't understand why their dogs wouldn't move. It was then that they heard cries for help in the distance.

A cry for help

They realised that a fire had broken out and someone was in danger. The boy and girl immediately ran to tell their parents.

A foot injury

After a call to the emergency services, the two fathers went to help the elderly woman. Luckily, she had managed to escape her home but had injured her foot in the process. The woman was then taken to hospital.
