The family's young son was playing outside in the driveway when, out of nowhere, a young bear suddenly started charging at full speed towards him.
A terrifying moment
The scene, captured on CCTV, is absolutely astonishing. The footage shows the wild animal charging towards the child, sparking fears for the worst. But before the bear could reach him, the family's Husky heroically intervened.
The brave dog chased the bear, jumped on its back and bit it to create a diversion. This gave the little boy the chance to run to safety, while his father shouted to scare the bear away.
Safe and sound
The Husky continued to chase the animal until it was out of the garden. Thanks to her quick thinking and protective instincts, the dog prevented a terrible tragedy.
The dog, who is actually a female, proved to her family that she would do anything to protect them. To thank her for her bravery, the heroic dog was rewarded with one of her favourite treats: a big steak. Thanks to her courage, the story had a happy ending, much to the relief of the family and people online.
