A snowy obsession
In the video footage, the Bernese Mountain Dog can be seen sleeping on a thick blanket of snow in the garden. The dog doesn't seem bothered at all by the freezing temperatures. As her owner points out in the video, it's midnight and -4°C!
Her owner asks her to come inside, because it's “bedtime”. But that's not on the dog's agenda right now. She can be seen giving her owner a defiant look before she starts running happily all over the garden.
A clever trick
Finally, Ivy approaches the living room door, looking at her dad as if she wants to come in. But it was just a trick! The dog dashes back to the end of the snowy garden as soon as her dad makes a move to get back into the warm. In the end, he says, “I give up!” and goes back inside to bed.
Of course, people in the comments section had a field day. “Oooooh! Dad came out to play chase!”, wrote one user. Another joked, “You've confused ‘bedtime’ with ‘playtime’!”. A third person commented, “It's like those Golden Retrievers and Labradors who constantly jump in their pools, but the Bernese Mountain Dog version”. And it's completely true!
