On 6th February, Han was walking her dog in the pouring rain when they made a staggering discovery.
Simon the Corgi was enjoying his rainy walk, safely tucked away in his raincoat. Suddenly, something stopped him in his tracks.
A treasure in the gutter
Simon's owner noticed that her dog was sniffing around in the gutter, and she immediately told him to leave whatever he had found. Simon carried on sniffing the leaves in the gutter water. He was clearly onto something! Then he pulled something out of the pile of leaves.
In the video, you can hear his owner asking him: "What is that?" She repeats "Leave it" and the dog immediately drops the object. His owner gets closer to see what her dog had found... She couldn't believe her eyes! It was a $50 note! Simon had found the note floating in the gutter, completely by chance.
A well-deserved reward
His owner really struggled to believe it. It didn't matter that the $50 note was soaking wet. Han took the note home. What's more, Simon earned the title of "best boy" for his find. The caption reads: "Someone got extra treats for this find!"
The video quickly went viral on TikTok. Users were highly amused by the video: "He's discovered a new source of income." Other people demanded that Simon be properly paid for his work: "That should be 100% his. In his bank account. $50 in toys and treats. What a good boy." And that's exactly what his owners did: in another video, you can see what Simon chose at the pet shop with his $50 note. Pure happiness!
