In a 53-second clip, the man is seen coming home with his shopping. His little dog is waiting patiently for his owner.
They quickly make eye contact, and the dad even gives his dog a little wave to show he's seen him.
Almost immediately, he pulls what looks like a tasty treat for his pet out of his shopping bag. That's all it took to spread joy between the two of them, and among viewers online.
Within just a few days, the video had been viewed more than 3 million times on the Chinese social media platform.
