At the beginning of June, Niall found a puppy, just a few weeks old, abandoned on a construction site.
The poor puppy had a severely injured back leg.
A frail puppy
On top of that, the little dog was covered in fleas and ticks. Fortunately, Niall is an experienced rescuer. He wrapped the puppy in a blanket and gently lifted her into his arms.
At first, the little dog was a bit wary of her rescuer, but the brave little female soon realised she was safe. Once at the shelter, the dog, now named Skye, was examined by a vet.
A long road to recovery
The examination revealed that Skye had likely been hit by a car when she was just a baby. Without proper care, her leg had healed on its own but had set incorrectly, leaving her back leg immobilised.
Four days after her rescue, an update video shared some encouraging news about Skye. The little dog can be seen looking much better and learning to walk again. She is surrounded by love and, thanks to Niall and the Happy Doggo shelter, she has a new chance at life.
