When he moved to a small island in Thailand, Niall Harbison fell in love with the street dogs he saw every day.

He decided to step in and help them by setting up a charity called Happy Doggo.

Several years later, his charity work has grown into a rescue organisation with a huge impact on the lives of these animals.

A Husky in distress

Now, with the help of his team, he rescues sick dogs, has them neutered, and helps locals get the medical care their pets need. When Niall found an abandoned Husky on the streets, he knew the dog would struggle in Thailand's hot climate.

Poor Bowie was pregnant when she was abandoned. She was starving and suffering in the sweltering heat, and Niall wasn't sure if she or her puppies would make it. Niall nursed her back to health at his shelter and found loving homes for all her puppies. His dream was to find Bowie a home in a cooler climate, one that would be much better suited to her breed.

A new life on a new continent

Recently, his dream came true. Bowie moved to a whole new continent! She was adopted by a new family in Germany, and the organisation arranged her journey to her new home.

In the very same week she arrived, it snowed in Germany, which was a brand new experience for her. The video below shows her pure joy as she discovers snow for the first time, playing and having fun in her snowy garden. Bowie has a long and happy life ahead of her in her new home, and we wish her all the best!
