Already the proud owner of several cats, she decided it was time to adopt a new kitten. But she soon found herself in a rather tricky situation.

Vanessa Chatterley was already the proud owner of three cats when she decided to add a new feline member to her happy family.

She went to a local rescue centre, hoping to do a good deed. She was quickly drawn to the kittens there, but choosing just one proved to be an incredibly tough decision. Faced with so many adorable little cats, how could she possibly leave with only one of them?

What the young woman didn't know was that fate was about to make the decision for her.

Yin and Yang

Vanessa Chatterley was particularly taken with two kittens, a black one and a white one, and quickly set her heart on the pair. A perfect match with their contrasting coats, the tiny felines also seemed to be inseparable, spending all their time together at the rescue centre.

Even if she had managed to choose between them, how could she have slept soundly at night, thinking of the other kitten left behind, brutally separated from its best friend? She soon came to a realisation: she had to adopt both kittens together, even though that wasn't her original plan.

Double the joy

The two kittens have since been named Simon and Wesley, and they have explored their new home with great enthusiasm. Still inseparable, they follow each other all around the house and continue to take their naps snuggled up close, just as they used to do at the rescue centre.

Viewed nearly 2 million times, the video has touched many viewers, who have praised her wonderful generosity in adopting both of them.
