One day, a young woman in the US named Allison, a volunteer with the cat rescue organisation Whiskers-A-GoGo, noticed a cat in her garden. While the cat seemed to be in good shape, she was clearly in desperate need of help. The tabby and white mother was accompanied by her three kittens and appeared to be looking for a safe place to raise her little ones.
Luckily, her instincts had guided her to the right place. As the rain began to fall, the mother cat plucked up the courage to take a chance and crossed the threshold into Allison's home with her kittens in tow.
A gentle mum and her playful kittens
The young mother, only about a year old, seemed to appreciate the support from her temporary foster family. Although a little shy, she was gentle and calm and seemed to enjoy a good fuss.
As for the kittens, who were almost two months old, they were a little wary of humans at first but soon began to relax. Margot, the only female, could certainly hold her own, wrestling like a lioness with her two brothers, Rambo and Mallrat. Once they discovered toys, Mallrat turned into a real hunter, climbing absolutely everywhere!
Rambo, the most adventurous of the group, would launch attacks on shoes and brooms with boundless energy, while Margot preferred quieter moments. At Allison's, the three kittens learned to eat from a bowl, use the litter tray, and climb to every level of the cat trees. Even after they were weaned, some of them still continued to nurse for the comfort their mother provided.
An unexpected decision brings them back together
When they were old enough to be adopted, Margot and Rambo immediately caught the eye of a family. A woman fell in love with the pair and decided to adopt them both. The kittens quickly settled into their new house and soon felt right at home. Meanwhile, their brother and mother were still waiting for families to show an interest in them.
When Rambo and Margot's adopter discovered there was a third kitten, she decided to make one final act of kindness: she offered a home to Mallrat too, allowing the trio to be reunited. As if they had never been apart, the three little cats started playing together again, their bond unbroken. Thankfully, their mother was also adopted into her own loving family, where she is now cherished.
Thanks to Allison and the Whiskers-A-GoGo rescue, this entire little feline family was able to completely change its destiny.
