In a TikTok video, user "kayla__d" decided to share her 84-pound German Shepherd's reaction to meeting the family's new kitten.
A surprisingly timid giant
And it's safe to say the poor dog was not at all comfortable. Throughout the entire clip, he stayed tucked firmly behind his owner. The pooch refused to even look at the kitten, preferring to hide under his owner's arm instead.

The situation left internet users in stitches. Viewed more than 18 million times, the video has sparked a flood of comments: "Dad, why did you bring this thing home?" one user joked. Another added, "It's huge, help!". A third person pointed out, "You're all laughing, but don't forget that a spider weighing a few grams terrifies 80% of humans."
Kayla, who posted the video, has since shared a few updates about her pets on her TikTok account. While they may not be the best of friends just yet, the cat and dog are now managing to live together peacefully.
