Dogs Trust has launched a moving Christmas campaign called Thank you for my Happy Place, shining a light on the moments that make dogs feel safe and loved.

Created with VCCP Blue and directed by award-winning filmmaker Neil Gorringe, the campaign centres on the deep bond between rescue dog Buddy and his young owner Daisy.

A sixty-second film, narrated from Buddy’s perspective by actor Mark Benton, follows their Christmas Day together.

A Christmas message from Buddy

Viewers see muddy walks, quiet cuddles and joyful celebrations, building to an emotional reminder that the greatest gift a dog receives is the loving home and human who makes life feel secure.

Inspired by the belief that real happiness for dogs comes from human commitment, the campaign highlights the kindness and dedication shown by dog owners across the UK.

The people behind rescue stories

Dogs Trust CEO Owen Sharp says the charity wants to honour those who give dogs the happy places they deserve.

VCCP’s Executive Creative Director Ross Neil adds that while dogs cannot say thank you with words, their affection speaks volumes, making this campaign a celebration of care, rescue and lasting connection.
