SNCF launches investigation

As reported by Ouest France, the dog had refused to leave the train when the doors closed. The passenger, who had the lead wrapped around her hand, was dragged several metres when the train started moving again.

According to an SNCF passenger source, the woman had two fingers severed by the lead.

The victim, whose life wasn't in danger, was quickly treated and taken to hospital.

SNCF has already announced it would "conduct an investigation to understand the exact circumstances" of the accident. The victim intends to file a complaint.

A reminder about travel safety
