Settling down to watch the Nations League final between Spain and Portugal, something caught the cat owner's eye. The roller blinds were open, and there was something strange happening outside.
Approaching the window to check it out, she noticed a surprise guest had turned up to enjoy her cat's food. Calmly munching away on the kibble, it explained why her feline friend always seemed to be hungry.
Who's been eating the cat's food?
It seems a hedgehog had made himself at home, sharing in the food available before sneaking back off into the night.
Tinka the cat wasn't best pleased to find her food had disappeared, but her human quickly sorted out fresh supplies:

Can hedgehogs eat cat food?
With summer just beginning, it's important to remember that hedgehogs should not be taking on any extra winter fat. They do best in the hotter months if their diet consists of worms and insects.
While cat food is not unsafe for hedgehogs to eat, it is very high in protein and fat. This means it should only be offered in the spring and autumn as a supplement to their natural diet. Cat food should always be unseasoned, without sauce or jelly as this can cause a stomach problems.
