Great Dane Reggie, who towers at 101cm at the shoulder, met the pint-sized Pearl, a 9.14cm Chihuahua, during a special event in Idaho.
Despite their colossal size difference, the encounter was calm and full of gentle curiosity.
Gentle giant
Reggie's owner, Sam Johnson Reiss, praised their seven-year-old canine companion's gentle nature, saying: “He’s very cautious and aware. I wasn’t worried about him being too rough.”

Small but mighty
Four-year-old Pearl’s owner, Vanesa Semler from Florida, added that her tiny pup is completely unfazed by her size. “I think she has no idea she’s small; she’s always friendly with bigger dogs,” she said.
Vanesa summed it up perfectly: “You can see through the photos and videos the love we have for our pets, they’re part of the family.”
It’s a tale of opposites attracting and proving that friendship truly comes in all sizes.
