RSPCA staff in Leybourne were left in disbelief after they discovered two Ikea bags abandoned in a car park. When they looked inside, they saw something moving.

When RSPCA inspectors were called in to investigate why two Ikea bags had been abandoned in a car park, they had no idea what to expect.

When they looked inside, they found a pet carrier in each bag... and something was moving around inside.

A shocking discovery

Inside the carriers were 6 Scottish Fold kittens.

Fortunately, the kittens were in good health and appeared well-fed. The shelter staff immediately took them in and launched an appeal to find their owner. Their theory is that their former owner was no longer able to care for them, so they left them for somebody else to find.

Thankfully for this litter, a team of experts was on hand and ready to help. But this is no way to re-home pets, the RSPCA reminded the public.

New beginnings

If no one comes forward to claim them, the six little kittens will be put up for adoption and will have the chance to join loving families.

Meanwhile, the RSPCA team is enjoying their company, ensuring they receive all the attention they deserve.
