Frederico Alfredo, a volunteer therapy dog who appears to be a Chihuahua cross, brings joy to hospital patients near his home.
But recently, the affectionate pup found himself on the receiving end of a very touching moment.
Happy reunion
After being adopted from another state, Frederico’s owner, Jamili Saade, was contacted by a family who had adopted his littermate, Tunico Bastos. Despite living in different cities, the families stayed in touch, even visiting each other in 2023.
This year, Saade invited Tunico’s family to visit. As they arrived at the airport, Frederica eagerly waited in the greeting area, proudly holding a sign with his brother’s name and a PAW Patrol balloon attached.
Strong bonds
The long-awaited reunion was an emotional one. The brothers spent a joyful week together, exploring the city and catching up in their own dog-like way.
“They got on each other’s nerves,” Saade joked. “But it was funny.”
After months apart, the heartwarming moment reminded everyone watching just how strong the connection between brothers, canine or human, can be.
