Each year, the school hosts a massive celebration to honour their furry friend, and this year was no exception.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the students have always found a way to celebrate Cole, even holding virtual parties when necessary.
Birthday celebrations
This year, Cole was treated to a special birthday carriage ride and dressed in an adorable outfit, pushed into the cafeteria by a group of his student pals. The entire school gathered to sing "Happy Birthday" to him, but with a heartfelt twist.
In a touching gesture, every student learned to sign "Happy Birthday" in sign language to ensure Cole, who is deaf, could fully enjoy the celebration. "He was so ornery all day, extra playful, acting super silly," said Cole’s owner, Chris Hannah.
Happy Birthday, Cole!
After the performance, Cole was presented with his yearly birthday cheeseburger, which the students eagerly watched him devour.
Exhausted but overjoyed, Cole was wheeled out of the party, his happiness evident to all. The bond between Cole and his students is a truly heartwarming sight.
