Ditta was found abandoned on the streets of Ukraine with 8 puppies, just weeks before the war broke out.
The puppies had contracted parvovirus, and sadly none of them made it. This left just Ditta, in desperate need of a home of her own.
Old fears and new beginnings
Having been overlooked due to her age, Ditta finally found a loving home in the UK.
Her new family couldn't wait to welcome their new four-legged friend. But when she arrived, it was clear she would need lots of time to overcome the fears she brought with her.
A special bond
Ditta was so frightened of men that she would cry when they tried to touch her.
Little did anyone know a special bond was forming, and that this would be what changed everything.
