Amber, who had little experience with cats, was caught off guard when a black-and-white cat, now named Miley, appeared at her home.
Surprise feline visitor
In a viral TikTok video, Amber shows the cat meowing at her gate, demanding entry. Despite Amber's attempts to resist, the cat leaps over the gate and approaches her. Amber, who had been texting her cat-loving boss in hopes he might take the cat, eventually picks up Miley with a resigned "Alright."
Initially apprehensive about cats, Amber found her anxiety rising as Miley pawed at the gate. After a failed search for the cat's owner, Amber was advised to let Miley lead her. To her astonishment, Miley guided her to a bush where her two kittens were hiding.
Loving home for Miley
With the help of a neighbour, Amber took the kittens to the vet, and they were confirmed to be a few months old. Despite Amber's reluctance to keep the cats due to her four dogs, she was determined to find them a safe home.
After a week of searching, the neighbour adopted Miley much to Amber's relief. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to socialise the kittens ready for adoption.
Amber admits, "I'll always be a dog mom, but I'm a Miley person now."
