TV personality Katie Price has revealed that her five-month-old Sphynx cat, Frog, had to be put down due to an incurable neurological disease.

The revelation comes after growing criticism and a petition, now with over 37,000 signatures, calling for a ban on her owning any more pets.

Controversy over pet deaths

Price, who has faced backlash over the deaths of multiple animals, previously shared that her German Shepherd and other pets suffered fatal incidents, including being hit by cars.

Her French Bulldog, Rolo, also died after being trapped under furniture, while her Alsatian, Bear, was given away due to aggression. She had previously lost a horse in a similar accident.

RIP Frog

In her memoir, "This Is Me," Price described her bond with Frog and recounted the cat's sudden health decline. "Frog stopped being able to jump and soon couldn’t even move without assistance. Despite the vet’s best efforts, his condition worsened rapidly," she wrote.

She had to make the difficult decision to euthanize Frog, who had become a cherished companion for her and her boyfriend, JJ Slater.

Earlier this year, Price also attracted criticism for giving away her puppy, Tank, as it allegedly did not meet her social media standards, and replaced it with the Sphynx kitten. The ongoing petition reflects public concern over her ability to care for pets properly.
